NEW HAMPSHIRE - Monadnock

At a height of 3,165 feet, Mount Monadnock offers 40 miles of maintained foot trails, many of which lead to the rock summit. The peak of this outdoor adventure for kids and families offers 100-mile views to six New England states. The Monadnock Visitor Center offers exhibits on the park’s history, ecology and trails. The park is open year-round.

This professional theater company’s summer 2006 offerings include two plays for families and children age 4 and older. Charlotte’s Web from the book by E.B. White will be presented on July 14, 15, 19, 21, and 22. The Players will present an adaptation of The Secret Garden, with performances on August 12, 14, 16, 18, and 19. Plan to make a day of it by packing a lunch to enjoy on the grounds. Performances are at 2 or 7 p.m. Call for details.
