New Hampshire ski resorts offer terrain parks for snowboarding adventure

The only thing that has grown faster in popularity than snowboarding is the slang spoken by its aficionados. Ski areas of all sizes throughout New Hampshire have added terrain parks, half pipes and other challenges for the brave, the bold and the “I’m gonna conquer this mother,” boarders. While having that ability leap into the void is cooler than the mountain at midnight, New Hampshire ski areas have excellent instructors to teach snowboarding to people of all ages and experience. And as with skiing everyone can enjoy snowboarding at his or her own pace on runs that match their abilities.

Snowboarding at Bretton Woods - Town of Bethlehem, NH
Town of Bethlehem

Bring your snowboard when you stay in Bethlehem, close to several ski, snowboard resorts

It will come as no surprise that Bethlehem, NH, in northern New Hampshire’s White Mountains, is a hospitable haven for snowboarders. In under 20 minutes, you can get from Bethlehem to Cannon Mountain and Bretton Woods ski resorts; in under an hour, you’re at Attitash Mountain, Loon Mountain, Waterville Valley and Wildcat Mountain. Imagine hitting the terrain parks at Cannon Mountain, starting out small and working your way up on groomed and ungroomed terrain. (Start on Huckerbrook, perfect for beginners, then end up at Tossup with big air inspired hits.) Over at Attitash, they celebrate freestyle, big time, as well as offering lessons for adult groups, children’s groups and individual snowboarders. Beginners to advanced riders will find plenty of rails, jibs and hits to test their skills.
