Ghosts on the Banke

Oct 17, 2025 - Oct 25, 2025 14 Hancock St Portsmouth, NH 03801

A FAMILY-FRIENDLY HALLOWEEN EVENT

Step into Halloween magic as you trick-or-treat outdoors from house to historic house, guided by the glow of carved pumpkins, candle boxes, and string lights in Portsmouth's oldest waterfront neighborhood. Meet wayward pirates and a mysterious fortune-teller, listen to ghostly tales echoing through the night, and warm up by the All Hallows Bonfire. Create giant spider webs, dance to haunting tunes, and play games for prizes. Dare to knock on the witch’s door and ask for a treat—if you’re brave enough!

Haunted History Lantern Tour

Oct 24, 2025 - Oct 25, 2025 105 Haverhill Road, Salem, NH 03079

Ghosts are real - and you can see them here at America's Stonehenge!

Join local historian James Lacefield for a candlelit tour of America's Stonehenge to encounter the ghostly remains - otherwise known as artifacts - of Salem, New Hampshire's haunted history. On this guided tour of the site, you will learn about the more than 4,000 years of human history that have played out on top of Mystery Hill. You will also hear haunting tales and local legends as you explore the hill, and perhaps even discover the truth behind them. Was the Sacrificial Table really used for ancient sacrifice? Did one of America's first serial killers prowl this hilltop in search of his next victim? Or, will you be the next to give your soul to the ancient practice of historical research? Join us this hallo-weekend to find out!
