Dog sledding in New Hampshire is a great winter adventure

For everyone who has commanded their mutt to ‘Mush’ only to get a bored look in return this is your opportunity to take a canine thrill ride. Not only will you get an actual ride, which is not as easy as it looks in the movies, but you’ll learn about the dogs, sleds and other details from the musher.

Dog sleds give you a completely different way of appreciating the beauty of the valley region

Experience the beauty of the Androscoggin Valley, NH region in a different way during your next vacation or getaway: via dog sled! You’ll enjoy the ride of a lifetime at Muddy Paw Sled Dog Kennel in Gorham and Errol, NH, where you’ll not only glide over the snow in winter but help get the dogs ready by harnessing and hitching them and then, after your ride along scenic winding trails, reward them with belly rubs. In the non-snow season (except for July and August), take a rolling dog sled tour, as the team pulls a cart over the trails. You can also take a kennel tour or, from May through October, arrange for a one-hour “K9s and Kisses” meet-and-greet with the dogs, most of whom are rescue and second-chance sled dogs.
