Experience a field trip like no other
Students will be fascinated by America's Stonehenge, an archaeological site in Salem, New Hampshire, where some believe there's proof other Europeans reached North America a thousand years or more ahead of Columbus. We welcome scout troops, student groups, and of course families. We've put together an audio tour to help you find the megaliths and stone chambers that have been uncovered at the site. And we have a non-sensitive dig area where students can use archeologist's tools to hunt for arrowheads, bones, and other artifacts. You could find items left by Native Americans, colonial farmers, or more mysterious people. Visitors can also watch a short video on the site's history in our museum. We offer group discounts and with larger groups, chaperones are admitted free.
