Downhill skiing is spectacular in the resorts and on the slopes of this mountain valley
Spectacular: That’s the word skiers who return year after year to the Androscoggin Valley would use to describe the area’s downhill skiing venues. From Black Mountain, with 143 acres of skiable terrain on 45 trails to Bretton Woods, with 464 acres of downhill skiing, the skiing is exceptional. And the views of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range are breathtaking. Several more resorts are within easy driving distance. Snow comes early and stays late in the valley, so there are always pristine trails and fields of snow to enjoy for skiers of all ages and abilities, as well as apres-ski parties and events.
