There’s always a reason to celebrate Fall in the Lakes Region

There’s always something celebratory going on in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. Not surprising in a region noted for its foliage, autumn brings everything from fall markets and Halloween festivals (and haunted lake cruises) to Oktoberfests and the popular New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival in Laconia, NH. Thinking about holiday gift-giving? There are craft and artisan fairs and festivals galore in the region’s towns and villages. Winter brings carnival season throughout the region, from Wolfeboro, NH’s Village on the Ice to ice fishing and snowmobile races in Alton Bay, NH to ice-harvesting demonstrations at Remick Country Farm. With spring and summer come boat shows, fishing derbies, the New Hampshire Highland Games and Festival and the Meredith Bay Barbershop Harmony Jamboree. Check the website for all the event listings and updates.
