Merrimack Valley welcomes families, children to classic amusement parks

Get your competitive juices flowing at Chuckster’s in Hooksett, where two huge miniature golf courses boast the world’s longest (tied with a hole at Chuckster’s in Chichester) and shortest mini-golf holes. The longest hole, on the Fire Tower Course, is over 200 feet, but you can get a hole-in-one if you’re lucky. The Fire Tower Course is on multiple levels, but the Cave Course is completely ADA-accessible. Both courses are creative and challenging, perfect for individual golfers and groups. After golf, the ice cream barn awaits, with 36 distinctive cone possibilities (we’re partial to our own flavor, Upchuck) as well as sundaes, floats and shakes.

It’s all about old-fashioned fun, with some modern touches, at Chuckster’s in Chichester. The giant 18-hole mini golf course includes the world’s longest hole (201 feet, with two ways to get a hole-in-one), and the TimberTrek Aerial Adventure Park where you can traverse the woods from a zipline (or a horse saddle, or “snowboards”) at 10 to 35 feet above the ground. Other activities include the go-kart track, bumper boats, batting cages, Frantic Hoops and ChucksterBall, Shoot-n-Shower (you lose, you get a quick shower), and the Jumpster (jump and flip up to 18 feet while safely harnessed). Food options include pizza, wings, hot dogs and more ice cream flavors than you can imagine.
